Laura C. Stelmok, B.A. Lic.Ac. M.Ac.

Laura earned a BA (Religion and German) from Bowdoin College '83 and a Licentiate and Masters degree in Acupuncture from the Worsley Institute of Classical Acupuncture (FL) & The College of Traditional Acupuncture (UK) '92.

She studied with JR&JB Worsley until 2004. She apprenticed with a second Master Acupuncturist, from 1992-2006. Fueled by urgency to find cause and treatment for illness in her patients, this apprenticeship pointed her upstream, back and in to the ancient alchemical protocols of Taoist Medicine. She has been in private clinical practice since 1992 and has taught post-graduate 5 Element Theory and Clinical Supervision groups since 2005.

Laura is the Founder and Academic Dean of The Virtue of HeavenEarth, a small non-profit school for Advanced Training in Taoist Acupuncture in Whitefield, Maine. She teaches from within the Chinese Medical Classics and the roots of Taoist Acupuncture: the Dx and Tx of constitutional acupuncture (central to 5E Acupuncture), treating at the Level of the Body-Mind-Spirit, Working with Xie Qi: The 7 Dragons and the 13 Ghost Points as well as many other things. She has been teaching an apprenticeship program in the 7 Dragons and 13 Ghost Points for the last 7 years.

Laura and her husband relocated to St. Stephen in late 2025 to open Rose Compass Acupuncture, a family wellness center. Laura is a member in good standing of the Maritime Association of Registered Acupuncturists (MARA).
